Planning a Wedding and the Coronavirus
Well, where to begin?
One minute we are crossing into the depths of wedding season with back-to-back events and next minute…
More than ever, these are times of concern, but also times of putting into play the attributes of gratitude, positivity and problem solving. There is no doubt this has been challenging for us, the industry and those beautiful people who’ve had their wedding plans change. We have been working with our couple’s individually and doing what we can to ease the stress and sometimes heartbreak.
We have been channelling all the fear and things outside of our control and have been focusing on solutions, on what we can do in these uncertain times. We want to share a few amazing opportunities we have discovered that we can all take advantage of.
Reimagine your wedding
Where there is creativity, opportunity will present itself.
If you are not keen on postponing, then let’s talk about how we can reimagine what your wedding looks like. One of my clients who is going ahead with her wedding day but has decided to plan a more intimate celebration of 45 people. We are still styling it and make it amazing, but just on a smaller scale. We recently did an intimate wedding of 20 people at Noosa Heads – it was so beautiful and heartfelt. Some images from Bliss Photography by Leah are below. If you go ahead with an intimate wedding, then you could also consider throwing a party in 2021 – we can help you with that too!
The fresh outdoors
You could also look at a tipi or marquee wedding which is being classified as an outdoor wedding. We can work with you to pull together a beautiful package with marquee or tipi, furniture, catering, styling and everything else in between to create an extraordinary hinterland event away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Check out our outdoor packages here.
Consider hiring
If you are having a smaller wedding, birthday party or any other celebration, we offer a dry hire option where you can get your hands on our beautiful items to style your event. Click here to see the collection.
If you are unsure how to style your event, we are offering 1:1 personalised styling sessions either on Zoom or phone call to help you pull your vision together. Contact us here if you would like professional guidance on creating your event at home in your backyard or at a private property.
Take care of you
It is important that during these times of upheaval, you do your best to take care of yourself and those close to you. Stress and worry if left unchecked can begin to eat away at your reserves and deplete you of every bit of strength… emotionally, mentally and physically. We can’t change or control what’s happening in the world, but we can change and control what we do with it. Rest your body, eat well and meditate on the good. There is power in positive thinking.
While many things worldwide are being put on hold, your life is not on hold. Be aware, become informed and be careful…but not fearful. Faith sees hope and solutions.
Keeping the above tips in mind and with a little help from the experts, you should be well on your way to planning the a wedding during these uncertain times. You can contact our team here to make your vision a reality or check out our wedding pinterest boards for more inspiration.
